May 2026
Our Kids collective conference with Olly Goldenberg on April 18th felt like a watershed moment. Our team received so much input on that Saturday that has inspired and shown what is possible for our children to achieve – Olly’s stories of children operating in the gifts of the spirit were so authentic, yet amazing and challenging in equal measure. So please pray for our Kids Collective leaders as they embark on a fresh and exciting journey with our children over these next months.
It also feels like we are standing on the verge of a fresh wave of the Spirit amongst us as God fans into flame prophetic voices and creative people. I want to encourage you to come prepared on Sundays – could it be that God wants to speak through you? Pray for our gatherings that they would be spiritual powerhouses for the kingdom of God.
Here then are a few things that I’d like to highlight which are happening during May.
First off on 3rd May we have the visit of Danie Face – Danie has been working abroad for a few years and will be sharing some of those God given experiences. On May 10th we will have our youth leader Ethan speaking to us as a church and it will be the last Sunday of his placement – let’s encourage and support him as he ministers to us all. On 17th May, retired Dean of Students of Regents Theological college Geoff Richardson will be with us – we look forward to hearing Geoff speak out of the depths of wisdom accumulated over many years of ministry. We are also thrilled that there will be a Baptismal service on the 24th May. If you have not yet been baptised but wish to be then please contact myself, or one of the Elders, and we can arrange to take you through a baptismal class and add you to those already wanting baptism.
Elim Leaders’ Summit is in Harrogate from 12-14th May and Liz and I will be heading north along with many of the leaders of Gateway to receive spiritual input and get involved in the wider governance of our movement. We look forward to meeting up with friends old and new as we gather there and worship together.
As I usually say to you all, pray for us as we continue to pray for you – we really do value your prayers and your commitment to God here in Gateway.
Much love
Pastor Dave & Liz
