To the GateWay family

As I write this Liz and I have just returned from a week’s holiday in the sun. We feel refreshed and ready for the next few months which will take us up to and beyond Christmas. Yes, it’s that time of year already!!

We have a fantastic event coming up in this month which will be perfect to invite friends, family or neighbours along to. But don’t just invite them – earnestly pray for them before you invite them, that God would open their hearts and their diaries and make it possible for them to come along. The event is on November 16th at 4pm as we have the performance of the Gospel of Mark called simply, ‘I Am Mark’. It’s a 90-minute performance (usually with a break in the middle) followed by some QandA. I take note that due to some implied gruesome bits it may not be suitable for children under 8, though younger children have attended and enjoyed it in times past.

Whilst ‘I am Mark’ is open to all, the following Sunday will be the family of Gateway at home together as we welcome new members in the morning service, share lunch together, and then have our family meeting where we will look back on what has gone on this last year and look forward to next. Our lunch will be an opportunity for us to celebrate the nations who are a part of Gateway. So, start thinking now what dish you’d like to bring along to share. From my perspective let me ask whether you would prefer Banoffee or Cheesecake? Let me know  Nearer the day we will have a sheet so that you can let us know what you’ll be bringing.

We have two guest speakers as well in November – our good friend Geoff Feasey will return on 9th, and Steve Ball, our Regional Leader, will be with us on 30th. It will be great to welcome him along to Gateway.

Above and Beyond will return on 19th November for the final instalment of Ephesians. There will be Pizza once again so you will need to sign up in order to make sure there’s pizza for you, plus sufficient copies of the notes for all who attend. The last two have been great evenings. Note that pizza will be delivered at 7pm!
