To the Gateway family

 As I write, Liz and I have just returned from leading worship at a Children’s Leaders conference where I was leading worship. Whilst we were there to provide ministry, we also received a lot of great input on working with Children, foundational ideas which will  help us to shape Gateway’s Children’s ministry going forward. Add into that – we look forward to hosting Olly & Helen Goldenberg to spend a weekend developing our children’s leaders and our parents from Fri 17th to Sun 19th April. Look out for more detail coming soon but put those dates into your diaries now. Ethan will also be taking some of our youth along to Limitless 1 in February. Please keep praying for our Children and our Youth

Something that I said early in January was that I intended to follow a course of Bible readings to take me through the whole Bible over the course of the year. I encouraged you all to join with me. It could be that some of you missed that but would like to get on board. I’ve been using the Bible Project’s plan – One story that leads to Jesus, which you can find on the You Version app or website. You don’t have to use that, but it is pretty good. It might also be that some of you have started but given up. Can I encourage you to restart and keep going. It will bring real benefits to your spirit.

As I look at the diary for February, it will be great to welcome Chris Cartwright and Mark Greenwood to minister among us. Chris was Elim’s General Superintendent for a number of years and is a good friend. Mark is Elim’s Director of Evangelism as well as being one of the funniest people I know. We welcome them amongst us and take note of what God is saying and stirring as they minister here at Gateway.

If you’ve visited our website recently, you’ll have seen that it’s all quite new. We have updated the whole system for our website and for the management of our church data. Soon you will be able to download an app to your smartphone which will keep you in touch with all that’s going on. Help will be on hand to get you up and going on the app and we will explain what you can do with it as well.
